Dr. Kevin Coats was born and raised right here in Longmont. In fact, he even attended Skyline High School, which is only about a five-minute drive from our practice. While he was there, he was a three-sport athlete and he graduated with honors. This was the start of a lifelong commitment to excellence, which he prioritizes to this day. From an early age, dentistry drew Dr. Kevin Coats’ interest. How could it not? Both his father and his grandfather were local dentists too!
Today, his strong Christian values drive his dental philosophy and passion for patient care. Providing personalized care that addresses everything that’s unique and worthy about a person with the utmost respect and understanding is what he strives for at each and every appointment. Study Dentistry?
Before earning his dental doctorate, Dr. Kevin Coats completed his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University, which is where he also met his wife, Brooke. After graduation, they moved to Omaha to pursue their education further. While Brooke received her Bachelor’s in Nursing, Kevin earned his master’s in Oral Biology and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry.
While in graduate school, Dr. Kevin Coats aided the teaching of courses in head and neck anatomy and histology as well as conducted research to improve the quality and integrity of dental education for his master’s thesis. This advanced education and commitment to his craft are two of the many reasons he’s the phenomenal dentist he is today!

What Do You Like to Do?
When he isn’t at the office, you’ll most likely find Dr. Kevin Coats with his wife and their young daughter, Chloe. He also loves staying active by hiking, skiing, and playing golf. He is excited to be back in Longmont to contribute and give back to the community that he was raised in for most of his life.
