New Dental Patient Information – Longmont, CO

Preparing for Your First Appointment with Us

We’re honored that you’re considering Coats Dental Group Family & Cosmetic Dentistry of Longmont for you and your family’s dental needs. To help you prepare for your first appointment with us, we encourage you to look over our new patient page ahead of time to get a better idea of what to keep in mind at your initial visit. That includes expectations for your first appointment, financing options, and more. If you have additional questions or concerns, feel free to give us a call directly.

Your First Visit

When you arrive for your first appointment, you’ll be introduced to Dr. Coats. From there, he’ll ask you about any concerns you may have or complete a new patient exam, depending on your preferences provided to us through the electronic new patient form sent to your email.

As a new patient, we perform a comprehensive exam, capture digital X-rays, and perform a traditional cleaning. If your needs are periodontal in nature, we’ll schedule you for a deep cleaning at a later date. Got a specific dental concern you want addressed? Dr. Coats can capture X-rays of the problem area, then recommend treatments from there.

New Patient Forms

We encourage you to complete our electronic new patient forms ahead of your next visit to expedite the check-in process. For your convenience, we have provided links to the most important forms to complete before you arrive. These help us get to know you a bit better as well as your dental needs, allowing us to better prepare for your appointment. This includes questions about your medical history, financing, and other essential information.

Dental Insurance Welcome

We are currently in-network with Delta Dental Premier, though, we are happy to accept payment from any insurance company. Having a dental insurance plan that is considered out of network or that we are not contracted with does NOT necessarily mean that you will be paying more out of pocket. Please call the dental office and we will be happy to verify your dental insurance coverage for you.

Financing Available

Those without dental insurance can still make their dental care more affordable with the help of third-party financiers like CareCredit. This option allows you to pay for care on a month-by-month basis, rather than all in one lump sum. Depending on the plan you choose, you can expect to pay little to no interest along the way, making your dentistry even more affordable. Feel free to ask our front desk on how to begin the approval process!
